Position: PMP Certified Business Intelligence Project Manager
Location: Foster City, CA
Duration: 12+ Month Contract
Rate: $60/hr C2C
Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES: This resource will join the PMO (Project Management Office) and will be responsible managing projects while utilizing matrix project teams composed of Development, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Operations personnel.
• The individual is expected to provide successful project management and delivery for a variety of projects
• Projects may involve developing requirements, evaluating alternative solutions and implementing new systems and procedures
• Projects use a mix of internal and outsourced, local and remote resources for project delivery
• The individual is expected to study and understand the business requirements and to have the expertise and the ability to provide technical direction, motivation and encouragement to the team
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
2. 10+ years software development and system integration experience
3. A minimum of 8 years of management experience of leading technical teams in delivering multi-tier web enabled applications and Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse implementation
SKILLS
1. In depth knowledge of Open systems/ Web solutions/Business Intelligence environments
2. Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices
3. Working knowledge of full software development life cycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration
4. Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
5. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, coordinating activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams
6. Strong team player, with the ability to communicate with both technical and business people, at all levels of the organization
7. Excellent analysis skills, including the ability to think strategically, and be able to manage multiple projects at same time effectively
8. Ability to analyze complex project situations, set goals and objectives, and manage situations to satisfactory completion
9. PMP certification required
10. Knowledge of financial tools or equivalent
11. MS Office, MS Project and/or Open Workbench expertise
