Position : Sap BI Analyst 

Location: Lansing, MI

Duration: 6 Months

 

Must Have skills: 

• Good Functional exp 
• Cognos 8 reporting exp
• HR / PayRoll  using SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) application

Job Responsibilities:

 

·        Analyzes the University's human resources/payroll-related information and reporting needs as a member of the Enterprise Business Systems Project (EBSP) Human Resources/Payroll Business Intelligence team

·        Develops functional design specifications based on user requirements

·        Satisfies HR/Payroll Business Intelligence requests using Cognos query and reporting analysis tools

·        Assists with developing and delivering workshops and training/orientation programs for customers and process stakeholders.

 

Job Requirements:

·        Three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in human resources and/or business process analysis and development, including strong analytical skills and experience with systems and technology planning

·        Experience in the development and support of reporting solutions for Human Resources/Payroll using SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) application and Cognos 8 (Framework Manager, Report and Query Studio)

·        Demonstrated ability to work with business users to develop business requirements for data warehousing/BI needs

·        Experience writing design specifications and developing reports using Cognos8

·        Experience documenting test plans and completing Unit testing

·        Ability to analyze and communicate report development issues, including problems with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues; experience preparing project-related documentation.
