	2	Experience of other database systems, preferably SQL Server, practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security is preferred

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)

 

A.     Database Administration (Oracle required and MS SQL preferred)

B.     Performs data modeling and prototyping, and implements efficiency improvements

C.     Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system

D.     Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance

E.      To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime

F.      Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management

G.     Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate

H.     Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades

I.        Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team

J.       Loads databases, reorganizes as necessary, and assists in monitoring database performance

K.     Executes the procedures necessary to save, retrieve, and recover databases from hardware and software failures

L.      Maintains data standards; prepares and develops database documentation, procedures, and definitions for data dictionaries

M.    Creates test database environment for applications section, including the creation of necessary libraries and procedures

N.     Installation of database software and with analyzing, designing, and implementing databases

O.     Designing and maintaining database structures

P.      Establishing and implementing necessary database security controls.

Q.     Other duties as assigned.
