Manage Oracle databases using GridApps Clarity management console Allocate storage space on a Netapp storage system Start and stop oracle 10g databases using scripts Troubleshoot Oracle for errors and start up issues Fine tune oracle 10g Manage multiple MySQL databases at a systems level Setup clustering & replication on MySQL. Create database users Work and troubleshoot linux servers running CentOS with Xen and Redhat enterprise linux. Troubleshoot Apache, DNS,and file systems Maintain documentation and update processes for system management Monitor servers using Zabbix Update & maintain Zabbix Essential qualifications: 6-7 Years total relevant experience Excellent communication skills, both written & oral. Ability to work in a true 24 x7 environment and manage shifts with co-workers. Hands on experience with Oracle 10g. Hands on experience with MySQL 5. Have worked on large data environments. Troubleshooting system level issues with databases. Experience with MySQL clustering experience with MySQL replication Hands on experience with various Linux flavors, including CentOS, Redhat enterprise Hands on experience working with DNS Experience on NFS mounts. Desirable skills: Experience using Netapp storage systems. Experience with Cisco 3750 networking stacks. 2) Lead System Administrator Problem management on Linux HA engineering for architecture of HA environment with OS / patch Release management, Application load and maintain configuration of Central OS image servers. Scripting for monitoring/ automating the Sys admin activity for change scheduled as projects on multiple servers Routine Performance Analysis, Capacity analysis, security audit analysis reports to upper management for necessary planned changes. Monitoring systems using Zabbix monitoring tools. Modifications to the Zabbix management server to better handle alerts & notifications. Working on system related issues with Apache Fine tuning Apache. Managing different NFS mounts running on NetApp storage. Scheduling and monitoring existing Cron jobs. Managing the cisco load balancer . Managing a complete cisco stack including firewall. Managing the internal DNS server. Managing route tables on individual servers. Manage subversion and CVS repositories. System level management of MySQL. Starting / stopping databases & troubleshooting basic database issues. Work in a 24 x 7 environment for 99.99% uptime. Essential Qualifications Language Skills - Fluent in English (written and verbal) Good communication skills Mandatory RHCE Certification - RHCE - Red Hat Certified Engineer 3.0 Six years (6+) or more experience in managing Linux Operating Systems and High Availability environments in Redhat Enterprise linux; CentOS; MySQL 5 Remedy Tools, OVSD (WW Radix and RAT) and Lotus Notes proficiency. Proficient in managing CVS & Subversion Patching, Software and Hardware failure/resolution and analysis. Linux system installation, upgrade, patching, and recovery.
